Sad news from the family of boxer George Foreman. His daughter, Freeda Forman, was found dead in her home Saturday in Atascocita, according to TMZ.

Freeda’s body was found by a family member and no foul play is suspected, TMZ reports. She was 42.

Freeda followed her father into the ring and grew up to become a professional middleweight boxer herself.  Freeda won her first five bouts before losing a year later. She finished her professional career 5-1 with three knockouts, before leaving the sport to focus on raising a family and becoming a boxing promoter.

She had previously stated her famous father was dismayed by her boxing flirtation.

“Dad never wanted any of his kids to see him fight,” she said in a 2000 interview with London Mirror. “He always protected us from that world.”

Her father was an Olympic gold medal-winning boxer who went on to a successful professional career that included bouts against Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and Ken Norton. Since his retirement, he has become an equally successful entertainer, TV pitchman, and marketer of products, such as his George Foreman-brand grills.

Freeda is survived by her husband, two daughters, three grandchildren, her parents, and 11 siblings.
