Barack and Michelle Obama are celebrating another year of their longtime love! On Oct. 3, the former president commemorated their 27th wedding anniversary with a sweet Instagram tribute to his wife. Posting a snap of the two embracing and looking out toward a sunrise, Barack shared his gratitude for Michelle with an adorable caption. “Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time,” he wrote. “Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years!” (It shouldn’t come as a surprise that he incorporated a Beatles reference, considering their love for music.)

Michelle also took to Instagram to honor their special day with a photo of them snuggling up in the great outdoors. “27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered,” she said. “Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next – while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack.”
