If you won’t listen to Tom Hanks or Idris Elba or doctors Sean Payton when it comes to taking the coronavirus seriously, then maybe you’ll listen to this PSA from Danny DeVito. Eventually one of these celebrities has got to get through to you.
On Monday, DeVito, who is 75, did his part to fulfill an obligation after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo enlisted him and a trio of others to appear in an announcement(s) that emphasized social distancing to keep seniors (who are far more vulnerable) safe from the pandemic.
“Hi everybody, it’s Danny DeVito, and I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart, all over the state of New York, stay home,” DeVito said in a video posted to Cuomo’s Twitter account. “I mean everybody. I mean, we got this virus, this pandemic, and, you know, young people can get it and they can transmit it to old people and the next thing you know *throat-cutting noise*, I’m out of there! So Governor Cuomo asked me to ask you, please, do us a favor, all of us, and stay home, not spread this virus around. Thank you. Watch a little TV why don’t ya!”

If you won’t listen to them then maybe just send a message to the governor telling him what famous person you’ll heed advice from.
