It’s that time of the year again for children of all ages to turn into young entrepreneurs and run their own lemonade stand.

The 2019 season kicked off Saturday for the Fort Hood area with a superhero-themed event.

Parents were able to register their children to participate in Lemonade Day.
Garrison Commander Col. Henry Perry also gave opening remarks during the event.

The entire process leading up to Lemonade Day is designed to help teach children how to start, own and operate their own business. In this case, expect to see plenty of lemonade stands across the Fort Hood area.

“We saw all of the stuff about it up this year. She was excited to do it. She’s into the whole business stuff, getting money, type of registering, type of thing. I thought it would be a good experience to go ahead and try it this year,” Crista Zamora said.

Zamora told News 10 she is looking forward to helping her 3-year-old daughter squeeze lemons and start her stand.

This year’s Lemonade Day is set for the first weekend in May.
