
Posty’s latest LP was able to move an impressive 489,000 equivalent album units, of which 200,000 came from traditional album sales, according to Billboard. The tally marks the second-biggest sales week of 2019, behind only Taylor Swift’s Lover. HB also notches the most streaming numbers for a 2019 release in its first week with 365 million, which is fifth all-time. It also had the fifth most traditional album sales of any album released this year with 200,000.

Post Malone’s previous album Beerbongs & Bentleys also debuted in the No. 1 spot upon its release in April 2018 after pushing 461,000 equivalent album units. Of that total, 153,000 were derived from traditional album sales. The LP remained in the top 10 for nearly a year off the strength of hit songs like “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage and “Psycho” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
Hollywood’s Burning, Post’s third LP, was spearhead by the singles “Wow,” “Sunflower” and “Circles,” and features guest appearances from Travis Scott, Future, Swae Lee, Young Thug, DaBaby, Meek Mill and more.
In promotion of the album, Post has embarked on his The Runaway Tour. Kicking off on Saturday (Sept. 14), the “Congratulations” artist will hit up major cities like Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, New York, Miami, Houston, Denver and more before closing out on Nov. 21 at the L.A. Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
