Baylor No. 14 in College Football Playoff Rankings

Baylor was ranked No. 14 in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Bears dropped a spot after their close loss to Oklahoma.

Wisconsin and Michigan jumped the Bears. Baylor moved above Auburn.

Oklahoma is only No. 9. Apparently their advanced profile and excellent win at Baylor was not enough to top Alabama (somehow No. 5 without Tua), the PAC-12 duo or Penn State.

Oklahoma State and Iowa State are ranked No. 21 and No. 22, respectively.

These rankings continue to be an embarrassment and are a reminder that many athletic departments are run by men wholly unqualified for the ridiculous salaries they earn. Alabama has a terrible resume. If you want to defend them based on the eye test or advanced rankings, then Oklahoma should be much higher. Minnesota beat Penn State, but the Gophers are two spots below them. Michigan looked pathetic early in the campaign, but apparently that’s forgivable.

The playoff needs to expand. Until then, we deal with this dumpster fire. There is no more pathetic selection process in sports. Hopefully it ends shortly.
