On a Friday that was particularly stacked with new releases, Teyana Taylor is standing out by dropping off a pair of new videos.

As Taylor explained, one of the new ones—”Made It”—is intended as a tribute to the graduating class of 2020, a group notably consisting of students whose plans for a traditional sendoff were thwarted by COVID-19 concerns.

“First and foremost, thank you to ALL the graduates that contributed to the video!” Taylor said on IG. “I truly appreciate you and happy to celebrate YOU!!! Unfortunately, this pandemic has stopped us from physically gathering and celebrating all the hard work you’ve put in through the years. But this pandemic can’t stop your spirit, it can’t dim your light, and it can’t take your degree away from you!! So when you make it out of this dark time, shine bright and light up the world!”

Earlier this month, Taylor announced the imminent release of her new album, aptly titled The Album. Back in 2018, Taylor dropped the GOOD Music marathon sessions entry K.T.S.E. The new album, as previously teased via the Red Bull Music IG, will offer fans a multitude of possible emotional responses.

“You can dance and you can cry and you can ride,” she said back in April.
