It’s a bar on wheels — “Road Sips Mobile Bar” launched their business in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

Rhett Williams, co-owner of Road Sips Mobile Bar says, “we looked it up and we didn’t really see anything like that in Waco. So, we thought what a super cool idea for a mobile bar and we could see a need with venues opening up here in Waco.”

Co-owners, Aaron Williams and Rhett Williams say it took some time and research to get their business going. They even partnered with an organization that built its unique trailer.

“Tiple Win Apprenticeship, they are an organization in Waco that works with a couple of schools. It’s a program where they can really build anything you need.” Says Rhett Williams.

As expected, the coronavirus pandemic caused some delays but they were able to officially launch “Road Sips Mobile Bar” in October.

Aaron Williams, co-owner of Road Sips Mobile Bar said, “we had one very small wedding so far, it was a good way to get our feet wet with the industry but it’s been an odd time because everyone is canceling events right now.”

Ironically enough, the one thing they do not provide with the mobile bar is the alcohol. They will serve it but not sell it. They also provide certified bar-tenders.

“The state of Texas does not allow us to sell alcohol so what we do, we are a mobile bartending service — so we provide cups, ice and we can even arrange to pick up the alcohol but whoever is using our services has to purchase the alcohol.”

Although 2020 was not the year they expected, they remain hopeful for 2021.

“We are super excited for 2021, COVID has pushed everything back to next year but it’s been super helpful to have some time to learn the trailer and we have bookings for 2021 so we are super excited for the future.”
