A Temple middle school student who was struck by a car early Friday morning was taken to a local hospital.
The 14-year-old boy was struck at around 7:30 a.m. Friday while trying to cross Avenue R in the area of South 31st Street.
The boy, an eighth grade student at Travis Science Academy, was taken by ambulance to McLane Children’s Hospital.
“The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time but he was conscious at the scene,” the Temple ISD said in a statement.
