Police were looking for suspects Monday after finding a man in an East Waco neighborhood who had been shot repeatedly.
The shooting was reported at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of East Clay Avenue and Forrest Street.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital, Officer Garen Bynum said Monday.
Information about his condition and injuries wasn’t available Monday.
Officers later found a vehicle that may have been linked to the shooting and questioned several people, but made no arrests, Bynum said.
Later Sunday night, officers responded to a report of gunfire in the area of North 19th Street and Homan Avenue, spotted a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses and pulled it over, Bynum said.
During a search of the vehicle officers found a handgun and narcotics, he said.
Two occupants, Jaheim Taylor, 18, and an unnamed 17-year-old were arrested.
Taylor was in the McLennan County Jail Monday charged with felony in possession of a firearm and discharge of a firearm.
