The ‘My Turn’ rapper hit the streets in his hometown to protest police brutality.
Lil Baby has been joining fellow protesters in his hometown of Atlanta to fight against police brutality and the recent deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. Last week, Lil Baby revealed that he was assisting Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms in creating a police reform plan and now the rapper’s activism is being praised by the city council.
City Councilman Antonio Brown applauded Lil Baby in an Instagram post on Sunday (June 7).
“When we first met he showed up in a worn black t-shirt, some joggers and [Balenciaga] sneakers,” Brown wrote of Baby. “No jewelry or entourage. His driver patiently waited outside while we talked for hours. I thought because everyone called him [Lil Baby] that he would have this huge ego and only care about superficial sh*t. Instead he spoke about how much he loved business, fashion and lifting up his community.”
