As a rookie, CeeDee Lamb did something not seen since 2006

When CeeDee Lamb stepped foot on the football field in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium, Oklahoma fans weren’t shocked with his performance.

Lamb finished his rookie campaign with the Dallas Cowboys tied for the team lead with five touchdown receptions. He matched Michael Gallup and Amari Cooper. Lamb finished second in targets, receptions, yards, yards per target and yards per reception on the team. Ezekiel Elliott was the only Cowboy to finish with more offensive touchdowns than Lamb.

The rookie wide receiver had six scores on offense and added one on a kickoff. Lamb became the first rookie for the Cowboys with a touchdown on a return since Ryan Switzer in 2017. Before that, it hadn’t occurred since 2010 when Bryan McCann and Dez Bryant both accomplished the feat.

You can add one more impressive feat by CeeDee Lamb to go along with his insane catches this past season.

Lamb posted the most receptions and yards when playing from the slot; his totals in both categories were the most since 2006. Most amazing about this stat is Dallas used four quarterbacks this season, including three after Dak Prescott was injured. If Prescott had played the whole year, Lamb’s numbers might have been much larger.

Lamb proved he might have been the steal of the 2020 NFL draft when he fell to Dallas with the 17th pick in the NFL draft.
