Dame Dash To Turn Himself Into NYPD Over Child Support Warrant

Dame Dash announced that he has plans to turn himself into NYPD custody in order to deal with his outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support, but he’s not going in because he’s guilty of any wrongdoing.

Dash will reportedly surrender to New York police nearly three years after a family court judge signed a warrant for his arrest. The Roc-A-Fella co-founder was accused of owing nearly $400K in back-child support to his exes, Cindy Morales, whom is the mother of his son Lucky, and his ex-wife, Rachey Roy, with whom he has two daughters, Ava and Tallulah.

According to Dash however, the warrants are ridiculous. He claims he gives both mothers of his children money regularly. In fact, he alleges that he gave Morales $150,000 to put down for a home. He also claims that Roy withdraws payments directly from his share of her clothing company, Rachel Roy Collection, which they co-own. He’s in the process of trying to buy back the entire company.

It seems odd that Dash is addressing the issue now after evading the law for so long, but the mogul said it was time to deal with the situation because it has prevented him from traveling to New York for important events and family obligations.

Dash said he has proof that he is innocent in his child support case and intends to turn all evidence over to the police. “I’ll sit in jail for three or four days or whatever they want me to do. I’m an innocent man,” he told TMZ. “There’s no reason for me not to turn myself in. I’m sick of my name being compromised.”
