The city of Temple hosted its 73rd annual Christmas parade Monday night in front of hundreds of residents who lined Adams Avenue.

A tree lighting ceremony led by Mayor, Tim Davis, kicked off the festivities.

The city Christmas tree, and holiday lights across town all lit simultaneously as sparklers went off in the backdrop and artificial snow fell over the tree.

More than 100 lighted attractions were featured in the parade including the KWTX Weather Edge.

Temple ISD Superintendent, Dr. Ott, was the Grand Marshall of the parade.

He and the Temple High School marching band led the parade Monday.

The theme of the event was “The 12 Days of Christmas”.
